Ocean
Kayak Prowler Elite 4.5
The
forums have been talking about a new model being tested in America the
new Ocean Kayak Prowler Big Game a shorter wider kayak aimed at fishing
and game hunting.
But AnglersAfloat
have been given the nod on another new model destined for our shores later
this year, the New Zealand developed Ocean Kayak Prowler Elite 4.5. Based
on the Prowler 15 but with a larger cockpit, very similar in size to the
Prowler 13. Weight and capacity will be similar to standard Prowler 15.
The rear
tankwell has been redesigned with a flat recess which is being developed
to accommodate a Minn Kota mount.
The underside
of the hull shows the most exciting development, a recess to accommodate
a Humminbird Transducer. Initial test have been excellent with a very
clean flow around the puck. The transducer is fixed through the hull to
a plate in the base of the redesigned forward cupholder. Enjoy the photos.

Prowler Elite 4.5 will be available as a fishing ready edition, with Humminbird
Fish Finder and Battery fitted, should be available October/November 2006;
